In our book “140 Twitter Tips for Educators” (by @ScottRRocco @bradmcurrie & @wkrakower) we share many tips for educators on how to use Twitter. At this time of year I usually get ready to go off to ISTE. I really think about Tips: #53, #54, and #55 (of #140EduTips) as they can prove a lot to learn from the world of Twitter and Face to Face meetings. This is the first time in several years that I will not be able to attend the #ISTE Conference. I am sad because I will not be able to follow Twitter Tip #55 (of #140EduTips) Meet Your Virtual PLN in Person as I have done at past ISTE conferences. I am glad that I will be able to follow Tip #53 (of #140EduTips) Follow a Conference Virtually as there is not one, not two but three # for the #ISTE2016 conference, they are #ISTE2016, #ISTE16 and for those who want to learn and can not make it can follow #NotatISTE16 where they can even compete to win prizes see: http://www.theedublogger.com/2016/06/21/notatiste-how-to-participate-in-iste-2016-remotely/?utm_source=Edublogs&utm_campaign=4fbb567f55-Edublogs_Weekly_06_22_2016&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0417f70ab4-4fbb567f55-87013189
For those attending #ISTE2016 or #ModelSchools make sure you follow Tip #54 (of #140EduTips) Tweet from an Educational Conference, I find that ISTE is one of the easiest conferences to follow as there are so many people attending and sharing their experiences. Even though I will not be able to attend ISTE2016 at least I will be able to follow along and learn along with my colleagues thanks to Twitter.
